First Meeting in Milan!!!

Today, finally I had the chance to attend a meeting here in Milan (I am always unavailable when they take place)!!!

It was a very pleasant day, I met a lot of amazing people, some that I follow online forever now and it was good to connect the faces to the dolls, and also (obviously) full of beautiful dolls!!!

Here are some pictures, even if the weather was awful (and so was the light) so most of them were out of focus, and even these are a bit crappy!!! :S

Thank you everyone for the wonderful time ❀

Happy holidays!

Finally I had the time to do a couple of holidays pictures with my dollies. This year is the first Christmas in the new house and we are going to Portugal for Christmas to spend it with the family, so I decided not to buy a big tree but just a tiny one and some other simple decorations just to give the house a touch of Christmas (I love Christmas, it is my favorite holiday!!!). Turns out it is the perfect size for my dolls so I thought it would be cute to create a scene out of it with the whole family, even those out of the story joined. Everyone helped out decorating the tree and afterwards we took a family pic with everyone together πŸ™‚

Happy Holidays!

The little girls decided to help with the decorations: Iris took care of the bows, Evie and Izzy were in charge of the rest of the decorations and Serena helped them out to reach the highest places. Also Charlotte together with Bee and Emi helped with the ornaments. Little Vanilla helped arrange Santa on the top of the tree and put his light in place.
George decided to play Santa himself and bring the presents to place under the tree and Eliza baked some cookies to welcome the real Santa while the others worked. Pandora was really excited about the cookies, and she wanted to eat them herself since she loves sweets (it is her first Christmas with the humans so she didn’t understand what they were for). Arya was quite confused about the whole thing too (since in her world there is not such thing as Christmas or Christmas trees) she spent the whole time wondering what the whole thing was about. Finally Alice, being a photography enthusiast, took care of the pictures to create some memories πŸ™‚

Happy Holidays!

When the tree was ready Alice set the timer and the whole family took a picture together with it. Pandora was lucky to get a cookie, because Eliza felt sorry for her and Santa eats too many cookies anyway!

I am not sure how much time I will have for other pictures and posts before Christmas, maybe I will post something else but I’m not sure, so me and my dolly family would like to wish you all Happy Holidays: a merry Christmas full of love and presents and a wonderful new year full of wonderful surprises and dolly goodness!!!

YouTube adventure!

Soooo…. I have been meaning to do this for a while now but I don’t have much time so I ended up never trying. But today I took a small break and I finally did a video!

Well, I recently found out about the YouTube BJD community, I think it is so much fun to watch other people with their dolls and talking about dolls, even when it’s just rambling πŸ™‚ I love blogging in writing, but I was curious to try to make my own video. I am quite discreet and reserved, so it was kind of hard to start but when I got along with it it was actually a lot of fun!!! πŸ˜€

I am still not sure if this is a “thing”, I mean, I don’t know if I will be doing videos on a regular basis, but I am curious to know what people think πŸ™‚

Here is my video:

This is my first video ever, I was uncomfortable at the beginning but then it was actually fun. I totally forgot to say half the stuff I wanted to say but well, I decided to post anyway and give it a try! Thank you for watching and enjoy!

And here are some awesome channels I love from people on the BJD hobby in case you are curious to watch some videos:

WennieBJD

DenaliWind

PHXXXCowgirl

These were actually the first people in the BJD hobby I started following on Youtube and I have been quite addicted with their videos ever since…I now added other people but I am still exploring! I should start commenting, but I felt a bit stupid commenting without having any video in my own channel….maybe now I will πŸ™‚

Other than that there are some good news:Β I heard back from Wind Dolls at the beginning of the week, and I am getting my piece!!! Already ordered it and it will arrive to them maximum in January (hopefully even before) YEY! Long wait but at least the problem was solved for the best πŸ™‚

LDoll 4 Reportage :D

I came back from LDoll yesterday and it was awesome, so as usual I am writing a reportage πŸ˜€

This year I decided to go all weekend so I could enjoy both days of the Festival since I had time (unlike last year). I went by train again from Milan and I arrived Friday night, in the same hotel last year (Ibis Budget), very smooth trip and familiar places to start.

Saturday morning, I woke up early and I was excited for the first day of Festival, this time however I knew what I should expect so I went earlier to avoid big lines (last year I waited an hour to get in) and I was one of the first people to enter (I bought a presale obviously) πŸ˜€ I only bought a doll with me this year: Charlotte, my Minifee Ryeon, but she got a lot of attention πŸ˜‰
I must say it is always an amazing feeling to see so many doll stuff, even if it was not exactly new to me but it is so unusual!!! Everything was totally awesome, there were so many gorgeous dolls: SWITCH, Another Space, Migidoll, Sadol, Dollmore and the european art dolls: dust of dolls, Lillicats, etc. and then all the amazing talented people selling stuff! When I got in I decided to shop, enjoying the fact that there weren’t many people yet. I had an idea of what I needed but I have to confess I ended up doing a lot of impulse shopping too ^^; I decided to get the most possible since you always save so much on shipping fees and it’s actually so much better to see what you buy in person! But I tried to convince myself I didn’t need a doll (even if it didn’t go as planned, more on that later) And probably there won’t be much money for dolls until Christmas hehehe but I am happy!!!
After shopping I went to meet with Floriana from HarajukuDolls, who had a stand there and it basically become my favorite spot on Ldoll! I spent a lot of time with her and we had a lot of fun together, meeting other people and enjoying the festival, a special thanks to you dear, it was a pleasure!!! And I also bought some beautiful dresses for my Narae, from her and she even gave me an amazing set as a gift πŸ˜€ (check her out, her style is amazing, pics soon!)
I also saw some faces from last year, like lovely Sanna from SweetNeat, and met some new people: it was awesome to meet everyone

On Sunday, I took everything easier, I did some shopping of little things I had missed the first day and then I went back to Floriana’s stand because we decided to have Charlotte model on her stand with her Ryeon, Bambi as twins. They are identical because they were both painted by Caroline from Viridian House (a total coincidence though), and it was fun to have “twin dolls” for once hehe πŸ™‚

Then there was the “unexpected new BJD” story later… I had been adoring a little MSD girl Peanut from Another Space (when I learned they were coming I was drooling all over their MSD dolls) and she was there in fullset at a good price. I came by for a couple of times and asked about her and when Lee (we met one of the sculpters in person!) understood I wanted her but I was indecisive, he offered to include another set of clothes and he gave us (me and Floriana) extra freebies!!! I couldn’t resist the offer obviously! He was so nice, it was awesome to meet personally the person who sculpted the doll I bought: she became so very special ❀ And this is the story of how I brought home a new doll πŸ™‚ I must say it is awesome to buy a doll and have her immediately, I have been wanting a less mature MSD doll for a while now and she is perfect: I have been planning of bringing my old character Γ‰milie Mignon back (she used to be a Jerryberry Berry), but maybe with a slightly different name (more on her soon), and I am keeping her fullset look: I love her wig and clothes, I just changed the eyes for glass because they were acrylics πŸ™‚

All in all, it was an awesome festival, I met amazing people and BJD professionals, I made friends and I saw and bought beautiful things (wish I had money to buy everything!!!). Thank you to all who participated!!! I love coming to Lyon and hopefully I will be there next year again ❀

Photo Challenge #1 and #2

I’m back in Lisbon taking a 10 day break! The project went well but it was exhausting: still a long way to go but the most stressing part should be over. Hoping to go back to having time for dollies and looking forward to Ldoll!!!

Photo Challenge #2
I made a small story for a weekly photo challenge over at the Portuguese BJD group on Facebook. I am having a lot of fun with it, and it is actually the first time I participate in such a thing, because I am always afraid I will end up forgetting or not having time. But since it is quite simple and relaxed I decided to give it a try. This week’s theme was Bed Hair- Messy hair when you wake up, and the victim was Alice. I actually love the way it turned out so I decided to post:

BED HAIR

Bed Hair #1

Alice: Wha…What’s going on?
Me: Good morning Alice! Sorry for the photo, but I am doing them for a photo challenge, the theme is Bed Hair.
Alice: ARE YOU KIDDING??? Don’t even think about it! Turn away the camera because you are going to have to give me time to get presentable! My hair looks awful!
Me: But…but that’s the aim…

Bed Hair #2

Alice: Here! Now it looks much better. You can take the picture: is the pose alright?
Me: But your hair is not a mess anymore!
Alice: I’m sorry, but the theme is BED hair or BAD hair? Because I have hair and I am in a bed so it should work. Also, people have to think I actually wake up like this: looking fantastic!
Me: Ok, ok….

Photo Challenge #1
Since I posted the second one I thought: why not post also the first one? The theme for this one was “Once upon a time…”.Β It’s not very elaborate because I didn’t have much time to dedicate to it. It’s inspired by Rapunzel (yeah I know the hair should be longer – Charlotte borrowed Serena’s wig for thisΒ – , but hopefully is enough to be convincing).

Once upon a time...
